Sony Entertainment Channel is coming up with it’s singing reality show Indian Idol 6“ - Here are the complete registration information about the show.

Q1. Who can participate?

A. Anyone who is an Indian citizen, residing in India and between 16 to 30 years of age as on 16th Feb 2012 can participate in “Indian Idol – Season 6”(Show”). No person can participate on behalf of another person.

Q2. When will the participation lines be open?

A. IVR/SMS and Online Registration lines will be open as per the following timelines defined in audition and registration tab.

You will receive a confirmation message on successful receipt of the message.

2. IVR :
Subscribers need to dial 5052525* to register
* BSNL landline subscribers from Punjab & Rajasthan need to dial 1255525 to register.
On dialing the number, following steps need to be followed in order to register for participation:
Step 1: Select your preferred language in the IVR system (Hindi/English)
Step 2: Agree to Terms and Conditions of participation. Detailed Terms and Conditions for participation are available at www.myindianidol.com
Step 3: Select your preferred city for auditions (from amongst the options provided)
Step 4: Enter age in completed years (between 16 to 30 years as on 16th February 2012)
Step 5: Select your gender
At each step you will be required to confirm your input. Failure to input a valid key press in a maximum of two attempts will result in call termination and the entry will not be registered.

3. Online :
Participants need to log on to www.myindianidol.com to register.
Step 1: On the landing page participants will need to input details as below:

* Name
* Age
* Gender
* Contact number
* Email ID
* Preferred city for auditions (from amongst the options provided)

Step 2: Agree to Terms and Conditions of participation. Detailed Terms and Conditions for participation are available at www.myindianidol.com
Step 3: Provide answer in space provided to the following question: ‘Why do you think you could be the next Indian Idol?’

4. Mini Auditions :

Q4. What will it cost me to call or send an SMS?

A. SMS : Every SMS sent to the participation numbers will be charged as below.

SMSs sent in the wrong format are also chargeable.
IVR : All calls made to the participation numbers will be charged as below:

MSM will not be responsible for undelivered messages and dropped calls on account of any infrastructural, network or other issues.
Roaming rates may apply and Registrant should contact the telecom service provider for the applicable rates. Invalid entries will also be charged.

Q5. Can I send more than one SMS / make more than one call?

A. Yes. There is no restriction on the number of SMSs that can be sent or calls that can be made for registration. However, if shortlisted for the auditions once for a city, you will not be eligible for another audition attempt at any other location.

Q6. When will I know whether I have been shortlisted for auditions or not?

A. Only if you are shortlisted, you will receive a confirmation call providing you with details on the venue and date for the next round of shortlisting. You will also be provided with a unique registration ID that you will need to provide at all the subsequent rounds of participation.

Q7.When will the mini auditions be held and in which cities?

A. Mini Auditions will be held in the following cities as per the timelines mentioned below:

Q8. When will I get to know and how?

A. If shortlisted, you will be informed 2 to 3 days before the date of audition for the city that you have chosen as your prospective audition venue via SMS & Out bound dialer call on the number used for registration as per the details available with the Organizers.

Q9. If shortlisted, will I have to bear the cost of any conveyance and lodging incurred?

A. Yes. If shortlisted you will be required to bear the cost of any conveyance and lodging, if incurred. MSM will not refund any costs incurred by any persons in connection with participation for Indian Idol Season 6.

Q10. If shortlisted, what documents will I require to carry for the auditions (mini and main)?

A. If shortlisted, you will be required to carry the following documents to the audition venue:

* Photo ID proof: Drivers License / Passport / Voters ID / PAN Card (atleast one)
* Date of Birth proof: Drivers License / Passport / Birth Certificate / Voters ID (atleast one)
* Address proof: Drivers License / Passport / Ration Card / Voter’s ID (atleast one)
* Audition shortlist unique ID provided during confirmation call.

Q11. If shortlisted, will a minor require to be accompanied by a guardian?

A. Yes. If shortlisted, a minor will require to be accompanied by his/her guardian, who will also serve as their signatory for all signing formalities. As per the definition of the Show, minor include all persons between the age of 16 years and 18 years of age as on Feb 16th 2012.

Q14. What if I am unable to make it to the auditions on the specified date? Can it be rescheduled?

A. No. Inability to attend the audition on the specified date, time and location will terminate further participation in the Show.

Q15. How will I know the result of the auditions?

A. You will be informed of the decision on the day of the audition, either right after your performance or subsequently during the course of the day.

Q16. Some people claim that they can help get entry to the Show. Is it possible?

A. No. The only way to participate in the Show is through the defined processes of registration and audition announced by MSM. Any person claiming otherwise is defrauding/misleading you.
