The differences between Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) and TV producers’ association finally came to an end after some mutual agreements (details awaited) and there by ending almost 2 weeks of production strike. Though the strike has come to an end today 19th November 2008 and the technicians are back at work, the audience still have to wait until Monday, 24th November to see the fresh soaps.
The Strike had a mixed response on the audience though some TV channels saw a huge drop in the viewership. While popular channel like Star Plus continued to lead the viewership, they do accept that the number of audience has decreased. Similarly Music Channels and Movie Channels suddenly saw huge increase in viewers. Colors Channel’s Bigg Boss Season 2 continued with its daily telecast and with Rahul Mahajan’s exit and more drama to come, it continued to lead the 10 PM time slot.
Anyways, finally good news for housewives and grannies who complained the most about the strike and for their sake wanted the strike to call off immediately. So does that mean remote back to the female members of the house again!
