Its confirmed that TV actress Shruti Ulfat and not Renuka Shahane, who will play the wife of Shahrukh Khan in Red Chillies‘ Fauji 2 on Colors. Shruti Ulfat makes a comeback to television with Fauji 2.

The actress tells us, “Yes, I am the part of Fauji 2 and I will play Dr Madhu Rai, who is the wife of Abhimanyu Singh, played by Shah Rukh. I haven’t started shooting with him yet but I am looking forward to working with him because I have worked with him in Dil Toh Pagal Hai. Pulkit is playing my son.”

Did she watch old Fauji? “I was young but I have seen some of Shah Rukh’s scenes in which he looks great. I am lucky to be a part of the sequel,” she says, adding, “Veteran actor Ramesh Dev will play the grandfather of Pulkit Samrat.”The female lead of the show has not been finalised yet, but her character is tipped to enter the show only after 20 episodes. The show has already gone on the floors.
