However the big question is, will producer keep the same Host – Akshay Kumar, which was one of the main reason for success of the Season 1. As per source, Akshay Kumar, who charged Rs. 1.5 crores per episode seems to have hiked his price to Rs. 2.5 crores per episode. This is more than what Shah Rukh Khan charged for Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain and what Salmaan Khan charged for Dus Ka Dum.
Akshay Kumar first priority is his films and will as many as seven back to back hits, he wants to devote more time for films. This is one of the reason for his price hike and working on the Fear Factor Episode would mean time away from his movie schedule.
Lokesh Bali, Manager of Akshay Kumar, confirmed that Akshay has given nod for second season of Khatron Ke Khiladi, however, did not reveal more details. He quoted “Nothing has been decided, Akshay is extremely kicked about the whole thing since the Fear Factor is all about daredevilry and Akshay simply loves that. Things will start rolling in a month. Right now he is busy completing his shooting assignments in Cape Town. Once he gets back, you will receive the details.”
Season 1 saw all celebrity models (girls) in exciting thirteen episode and was shot in South Africa. Nethra Raghuraman was the ultimate winner and Urvashi Sharma the runner up. The whole series was hugely applauded by the audience. Further, this series was one of the starting reality Show for Colors Entertainment Channel, which helped soar its popularity.
