Shocking but true, Big Brother Star and now one of the inmates in Bigg Boss, Jade Goody has been diagnosed with cervical cancer. She was called in the diary room, where this news was disclosed. The mum of two and just 27 years old Jade disclosed this news to the inmates and went in tears.

Jade Goody came into Indian limelight with her alleged racial remarks on Shilpa Shetty, which costed her Big Brother title. Shilpa continued to win the Big Brother title that year (2007) and is largely said to be because of the sympathy she got against Goody’s remarks. Jade in her first episode of Bigg Boss 2 said she did not mean to give any racial remarks, however she was not happy with Shilpa’s princess like attitude. She continued (and it was translated by Rahul Mahajan in Hindi) that she belongs to a middle class family and does everything by her own. Seeing Shilpa’s attitude she made a remark “…who are you… Shilpa Poppadum..” And that’s what the news media made as the racial remarks.

She had few tests in UK before coming to Bigg Boss show and those tests did show some problems. However she continued to come to Bigg Boss show so that she can clear the racial remarks on her. She said what India has seen is a very small part of what happened at the Big Brother show. She was good, bubbly and very co-operative in the show. She got frustrated with Shilpa’a attitude.

As per reports published in leading daily’s in UK: “She was called into the Diary Room and spoke to her agent and then her consultant in the UK”.

“She just burst into tears, ran out and said to housemates ‘I have cancer’.

“Jade was then led out of the house and she is coming back to England to see another consultant. She is completely devastated.”

The scenes were not being aired at the time and will not be broadcast in India.
