Bollywood composer Anu Malik, who has been associated with Sony channel’s music reality show Indian Idol since its inception in 2004 is often showing discontent & rudeness to the participants on the show.
Reacting to the allegations he says – We have no right to mislead anyone by false praises because that causes more harm to that person. It’s always good for a person to know the truth at the earliest so that one doesn’t waste more time running after a thing, which he cannot achieve…
In Indian Idol 3 last version, Bollywood actor Shabana Azmi, who was celebrity guests in the show, commented on Anu Malik’s behaviour: “Anu, stop demoralising the kids” as she puts the outspoken music director in his place with style.
Also not to forget the famous fight with Alisha Chinai in which Anu certainly puts 101% into it, and Alisha fights back like a cornered kitty. Anu and Alisha also got ruder and ruder towards each other at the end of the show.
In the latest Series we all had seen the confrontation between Alka Yagnik & Anu Malik on selection as both had ended each other on a sour note.
Annu and Javed Akhtar are the only experienced but Sonali and Kailash are raw & too much nice to become judge you know soft hearted they praise everyone. Is Annu doing good job by his strict remarks contestants just to show how much power & influence he has as compared to other judges. He doesn’t let other judges vent their opinion & often ends up in verbal duels with fellow judges. It is Anu Malik’s stubborn and arrogance attitude that he overruns on each judge’s comments.
It’s totally Dadagiri on his part imparting & imposing his harsh remarks & give judgment well before other judges turns come to speak up.
We are amazed to see Kailash Kher & Sonali Bendre unfazed and serene look on his face when ever there’s an argument going on as poor souls simply avoid getting into any verbal feud.
Its hard to digest a fact that a person of Anu Malik’s caliber tries to demoralize a person by his harsh & rude comments. It’s strange that the producer of the show allow such gimmicks to get the TRP Ratings. Sometime this remarks work to boost the morale but majority of it shatters & Demorolise one’s hope.
Well lets hope someone in Next Series comes which can give Annu Malik a taste of his own medicine.

How come Anu Malik never used his favourite rude comments to his daughter. He was so shamlesly incouraging, praising his daughter as if she was the only talented person on this whole planet. Disgusting.
In fact his daughter got a very special favour from all judjes.
Well, In summary Anu Malik has no manner to talk to even co-judges,participants and others. I think he needs to learn manner and way to talk. I dont know how he became a singer without knowing how to talk to a person.
[...] Anu Malik’s dadagiri on Indian Idol | Contestants, Co-Judges not … [...]
Well, I meant I hate the “judges” when they behave like that..!!
And yes, the same applies to the programs itself..
Shinjini from W.B was a victim. The next one is not far away – I guess that this will be a common sight as long as the talent show judges behave like that…
C’mon..they’re just kids/teens…encourage them..and they have a life before them to live in..
I hate them like anything..!
can anyone tell me how anu malik sings? horrible – why does he acts so rude with the contestants. why is that other judges are decent with their comments and he totally demorailises the participant.
also he does not let anyone speak. Javed Akhtar is much more senior and even Alka Yagnik is a far far better singer than Anu. he should take their opinion and not argue like as if he is the ONLY one in the Music industry.
finally it takes so much guts to come and face trhe judges and sing the song. if you cannot select, do not de-moralize the person so that he/she goes into some depression.
anu is very entertaining and should continue with his very trademark jabs at contestants and judges
