The second season of Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka, the reality show on past life regression on Imagine, will kick off in the first week of October. The show goes on the floors on August 1 at a studio in Trombay.
Dr Trupti Jayin, the psychiatrist-analyst who took the participants back in time on the show, confirms the news: “When Season One ended on January 15, we were left with many unanswered mails and unscreened candidates. We received over 10 lakh requests from people who wanted to undergo the therapy. Part Two will be a mix of interesting cases from India and abroad.”

The first season which flagged off on December 7, 2009, was planned for a 20-episode run from Monday to Friday, 9.30 pm, by Ideas Box Entertainment. It got an extension of 20 episodes. Season Two, as of now, has an expected 20-episode run that could be extended depending on the response. The slot has yet to be decided as the channel is currently focused on Big Money and the upcoming Meethi Chhoori.
Season Two will see Ravi Kissen return as the host. Among celebrities, Rajesh Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Om Puri, Rahul Roy, Rahul Dev, Shraddha Nigam and Juhi Babbar have been approached. But only Khanna, Roy, Dev, Nigam and Babbar have reportedly given the nod. A few cricketers, too, have received offers.
Madhok refuses to comment on participants saying it’s too early. “Last season, we rejected several big names because they didn’t make interesting case studies. We’re now in the process of screening and shortlisting candidates,” he says, admitting that the celebrity episodes featuring Shekhar Suman, Liliput and Monica Bedi got high ratings.
