Yet another new show which is aired by Sony TV at the prime time is Ladies Special. This is a Story of four middle class ladies and their journey of life in train.
Finally there’s a more realistic show with which we can connect ourselves. Looks like the television is getting revived and a new trend has started. The contradictory to the Saas Bahu, heavy makeup and jewelery concepts earlier now its more into realistic themes.

The serial star cast Includes:
- POOJA SINGH: Born and brought up in a small town, Pooja is an innocent and vulnerable girl, who has been told by her mother that without a husband, there is nothing in this world for a woman. She is the kind of girl, for whom all dreams can be fulfilled only with marriage. Pooja is married to Karan Singh, a 26 year old boy who is making life very difficult for her. Pooja is still in a dreamy honeymoon state-of-mind when Karan pressurizes her to go out and work. That’s how Pooja gets into the LADIES SPECIAL.
- SHUBHA JOSHI: Shubha has been working for the last 25 years, not because she had to, but because she wanted to. Now, after so many years of service she has decided to spend more time at home with her family – which means, she will not be a part of the LADIES SPECIAL anymore.
- BUBBLY CHADDHA: Bubbly lives up to her name. She is a chubby, charming, sweet Punjabi lady working as a receptionist in a mid-sized company. Her life revolves around EMIs. Everything she owns is bought on installments – the fridge, the TV, her couch, everything. She believes that if you pay somebody in full, you lose out on the possibility of getting to know them. And it’s because of this belief, everyone in the Ladies Special knows her. Bubbly always talks big – she will refer to the Plasma TV in her house that doesn’t exist, will never call a sandwich as a sandwich. It will always be a SUBWAY sandwich. Her uncle’s car that picks her up (in her stories only) is never referred to as a car. It’s a MERCEDES BENZ. She is a great movie buff and watches all the hit and flop films.
- NANDA SHINDE: Nanda works at a government office and unlike other govt. employees, always wears a smile on her face. She is totally in love with her husband, who amongst other things has a very good sense of humor. She gifts DEO bottles to other passengers in the train and has two kids – Gitika 15 yrs who is still in school. Her husband Shivam Shinde works in the RAILWAY OFFICE. Shivam is also a happy, cheerful person. As a matter of routine he drops her to the train and then catches his train. Nanda always reaches before him and waits for him at Church gate. Shivam takes the next train and then they move out together. Nanda refers to this as peecha karte rehte hain ”.

An excellent effort to portrait the middle income group family of today’s India. The serial is not far from reality about the happenings in such families. Yes, the serial may end up with concrete messages and solutions to the problems being faced today by middle class families. The serial is neat and clean without hefty makeups, unwarranted showbiz like many other serials.

I really admire this show as it touches upon the real lives of real people, real women I should say.It seems there was an immense need of something like this to be shown and seen. For the past few years Drama has undergone regression and has faced its doom.It is seriously sad but now it has been reincarnated in an altogether new form whose approach is realistic.Thank heavens those Ekta Kapoor’s stuff is off from the scene.Ladies special has an authentic appeal.

its a serial which is very close to reality. the script, the direction as well as the acting are all very very good. this is the best serial on show at this time. i only wish that the director does not lose its way as the serial progresses and he continues to keep the serial absorbing as is now and continues for quite some time more. my best wishes.

This is what I was looking for. For years we have been living in the unnatural world where Ekta Kapoor and her contemporary producers were showing family dramas, which were far from reality. Shows like Aap Ki Antara, Ladies Special are very close to our daily lives.
Interesting will be how they deal the sensitive issues like Abuse, Drugs, Family problems in the way society accepts.
My best wishes to the Ladies Special team for their wonderful effort so far. Looking forward to more of such shows on Indian Television

this is the first serial which my family likes to see after dinner and is really admired by my parent’s and my sister. She is also a daily traveller on a local train and she has her own group of girls and aunties who travell with her. Almost everyone who travell’s with her know’s me. My sister is a big fan of this serial. I do think that this story resembles to that of each and every lady travelling by train or any other way to reach their place of work. We can live our life happily as our mother’s are working round the clock to make our life better. hat’s of to all the working ladies and thanks to each and everyone of you bcoz of whom we are in this beautifull world.

ye kahani ek aisi story hai jo real life ki sacchaiyon ko batati hai,,,,,,,ish story se pata chalta hai ki ladies koi bhi mushkilon ka saamna kar sakti hain aur kabhie haar nahin sakti hain so ladies are also powerful …………………………..
