Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is all set to make a comeback to the small screen with the fifth season of hit quiz show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” on Sony Entertainment Television in August. His look this time will be styled by noted designer Rohit Bal.
“Yes … KBC back in August …and this time for a longer duration than last time …and yes welcome to all entrants …come join me…,” Amitabh posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.
“Designer for KBC of my clothes, by Rohit ‘Gudda’ Bal … dynamic and so good with colors … a kid in shorts in Srinagar, now celeb! (sic),” he added.
The 68-year-old actor shot for the first promo for the season with photographer Avinash Gowariker, brother of ace filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker.
“Promo photo shoot by Avinash Gowariker … brilliant as always…used a new lighting system… excellent … and Rohit Bal on dress,” added Big B.
The promo will be out soon in the market, according to the actor, who changed the face of Indian television when he hosted the first season of “Kaun Banega Crorepati” on Star Plus in 2000.
The show returned for its second season in 2005 with Amitabh, but superstar Shah Rukh Khan was roped in as the host of its third season on Star Plus.
Sony Entertainment Television brought back the show with Amitabh in 2010, and it repeated its success story. The channel signed up the actor for the next two seasons in January.
“Sony and I have signed on for KBC for the next two seasons… your blessings and encouragement needed in abundance!’ Amitabh had posted after signing the deal.
“Kaun Banega Crorepati” is the Indian version of internationally popular show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?”
