KBC 5 promos land in trouble – The forthcoming season of Kaun Banega Crorepati featuring host megastar Amitabh Bachchan began their publicity with some fun promos on tv. While most were cool with a nerdy guy winning and his office bullies ruing, an old man winning and his family repenting their bad behaviour towards them. But one promo which talks about freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose’s slogan Tum mujhe khoon do, main tumhe azadi doonga- used in a funny manner has irked many people. Petitioner Mumbai businessman Mukesh Sharma has filed a PIL claiming the KBC promo is insulting to the historic slogan. In response, the Bombay High Court issued notices to Amitabh Bachchan, Sony TV and the censor board asking for their response on the same.

Big B excited about hosting KBC 5 – Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will host the fifth season of the popular and hit reality game show Kaun Banega Crorepati. “Preparing now for KBC’s next season starting I think in a few months… creative and promo discussions today … very interesting,” Bachchan said on micro-blogging site Twitter yesterday.

It was anticipated in the last season, hosted by him only, in 2010, that this would perhaps be the last season with the megastar, as the initial contract which Amitabh had signed with the show organisers, completed the total number of shows hosted by him in this season.

The last season had seen much fun on the sets with more celebrities than ever coming on the show for their films promotions and one contestant answering the one crore rupee question correctly and then loosing it all on the Rs. 2 crore question.

It is interesting to recollect at this time, that this show ended up being the most highly watched show when it was first telecast in 2000, as this was the first time Amitabh had come on the small screen as a presenter. But in its fourth season, the show’s TRP lost the ground to Colors show Bigg Boss.

So what do you will be added on the show? Last season saw many known and unknown faces joining ‘KBC’ as experts whom contestants could ask questions. Even Abhishek Bachchan was present for one of these! Do you think this season would be bigger?
