Slowly but steadily, veteran actors from Bollywood are being lured away to television. Kader Khan, one of Bollywood’s legendary names could be returning to television, provided the pilot he’s shot for is approved.
“Kader Khan has shot for a pilot of SAB TV show. It’s an in-house production. The titled isn’t decided yet. Puneet Tejwani plays his son. Monaz Mevawala is paired opposite to him. The plot is about a father urging his son to get to married. The son though is least interested,” said a source.
Interestingly, SAB TV business head Anooj Kapoor claimed to have no idea of this pilot. Sources though sigh, “The pilot of this untitled show was shot in March. We’re hoping that it gets approval soon.”
Despite repeated attempts, both Puneet and Monaz remained unavailable for comment.
Kader Khan couldn’t be contacted. If approved, this will be Kader Khan’s second show on the small screen. The legend had earlier produced and acted in Star Plus show Hasna Mat.
