Indian Telly Awards 2008 presented by IndianTelevision.com in its eight year had a very glittering award ceremony. One of the biggest Indian Television Award Show, it spreads across 38 categories and the awards are for the best TV shows and performances between August 2007 and August 2008.

The show compered by Cyrus and Mini Mathur started with Balika Vadhu artists Anandi and Jagdish doing Ganesh Vandana. Followed by dance trio of Monica Bedi, Sambhavna Seth and Payal Rohtagi. There were many more performances and noted performances were that by Indian Idol 4 Team, Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai Team and ace TV Artist Shweta Tiwari.

It was Balika Vadhu and Sapna Babul Kaa – Bidaai that swept most of the awards in the Indian Telly Awards 2009.

Balika Vadhu captured awards including best child artist (female), Best actor in supporting role (female), Best actor in negative role (female) and Best show with Social Message.

Sapna Babul Kaa – Bidaai took Best Fresh Face (Male), Best Ensemble Cast, Best Daily Serial and Best Actor Popular (Female) awards.
