Anil Kapoor the reel host of ‘Who wants to be a millionaire’ in Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire might host the next season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati‘ Season 4, Indian Version of ‘Who wants to be a millionaire’. And instead of Star TV, the show will be hosted on Sony Entertainment Channel as they bought the rights of KBC. So, not Big B, not SRK, it will be Anil, who might host the next KBC 4 on Indian Television.
There were other choices as well and one of them was that of Salman Khan, who earlier earned huge applauds for hosting the show ‘Dus ka Dum’ on Sony. Though the show did not do well and the Channel already contracted Salman for three years, they wanted him to do the next season of KBC. However, seems like the channel wants to cash the popularity gained by Anil for his role in Slumdog Crorepati.
Though these are just rumours as of now and both channel and the actor have maintained silence, but seems like things are working out between Anil Kapoor and the Channel.
Kaun Banega Crorepati was first aired in 2000 and was hosted by Amitabh Bachchan. This episode was the first appearance of Amitabh Bachchan on Indian television. In 2005, the show was restarted after a four-year hiatus, and renamed Kaun Banega Crorepati Dwitiya (Kaun Banega Crorepati the Second, or KBC2) in which the final prize amount was doubled to 2 crore rupees. The Second Season was abruptly ended as Big B fell ill.
The third season of KBC was hosted by Shahrukh khan and the first show was aired on January 22, 2007. The show ended on April 19, 2007 with a special finale.
