Little Master Sachin Tendulkar’s wax statue will be unveiled at the internationally-renowned Madame Tussauds in London in April. Sachin will be the first Indian sportsperson to be featured in the famous wax museum.
Tendulkar follows in the footsteps of famous Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan and will join other cricket legends Brian Lara and Shane Warne to become the very first Indian sports personality to be portrayed.
The Indian cricketing legend, who recently achieved the highest number of runs in Test history, has already had met the Madame Tussauds studios team, who traveled to Mumbai to capture a catalogue of reference photographs and over 200 precise measurements.
He will be dressed in his cricket whites which he has donated. The figure will be created at Madame Tussauds studios in West London at a cost of 150,000 pounds.
