India has decided on who would lead its government for the next 5 years. Its the grand old party of Indian Politics i.e. Congress and its coalition group, the UPA. 2009 Loksabha elections again proved the useless exit polls run by almost every news channel in this country.
The exit polls predicted a neck-to-neck fight between the congress and the BJP, it predicted the emergence of regional parties and the increasingly important role that the Dalit Queen, Mayawati would play in national Politics. The results, however, tell a different picture. Congress has emerged as the single largest party garnering approximately 200 seats with BJP a distant second at 120. UPA has majority within striking distance, the 3rd,4th and the countless oppurtunistic fronts have been given a beating and the Mulayams, laloos, Mayawati, thanfully have no-say in the formation of the government.
