The second day of Fair One’s Miss Mumbai contest 2009 saw Bollywood Celebs. The pageant was sponsored by Gitanjali gems. Fair One’s Miss Mumbai contest 2009 was the first of a series of city-wise pageants (Pune, Delhi and Kolkata) which will culminate in Miss India next year.
Most of the 13 finalists kept goofing up the names of the judges i.e. Udita Goswami, Dipanita Sharma and ace photographer Ashok Salien. Udita’s name was the most wrongly pronounced it was pronounced Udiata Goswani. The sexy actress who will soon be seen opposite actor/producer Anuj Saxena(MD Maverick, organizer of the event) in Chase, obviously was not happy with the wrong pronunciation of her name.
Take a look at the winners and the celebs who attended Fair One Miss Mumbai contest 2009 in the photo gallery below:
She fired back saying the contestants shouldn’t mind if the jury wrongly call their names as well. She was also unhappy with host Aman Verma who was supposedly not calling out contestants’ number’s properly. The above MC was at his best having fun with the girls and even took a dig at one of the guys in the audience as well.
The other judges were Parveen Dabbas and choreographer Prasad Bidapa, industrialist Anirudh Dhoot and fashion designer Archana Kochar. The celebrity guests included Adam Bedi (looking cute with his hat), Rucha Gujrathi( in a short black dress) and actress Ekta Sharma along with husband Anil Donde The beautiful Pankti was chosen as the winner while Akanksha and Divya were the first and second runners up respectively.
Surprisingly, the talented and dashing Radhika who won 4 sub-events did not figure in the top 3. One of the finalists bravely took a dig at the MNS campaign of “Bombay vs Mumbai” she said she preferred the former. The Jail movie team( Niel Nitin Mukesh, Mugdha Godse) was supposed to have the graced the event but backed out at the last minute citing prior commitments.
