    Opening the festival this year is a new entry from Woody Allen, “Midnight in Paris” joined by other American out-of-competition premieres including Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”; and Jodie Foster’s “The Beaver” starring Mel Gibson.
