Mumbai Meri Jaan - Kay Kay Menon returns with a similar movie as that of Black Friday, however he begs to differ. While Black Friday was an indepth examination of Mumbai Blast post Babri Majid in 1993, Mumbai Meri Jaan is an account of common man who suffers from the continuous blasts across the country. The story resolves around 5 characters of the movie – A Journalist, Patriotic Corporate Person, A retiring Policeman, An Angry Unemployed Youth and a Coffee vendor who makes his living by selling coffee in the train. It portrays how these characters suffer after the 1996 blast that happened in the Mumbai Life – The Mumbai Local Trains. Mumbai Meri Jaan follows the lives of people from all strata of Mumbai’s bustling society as they tackle the aftermath of a fatal incident that brings out the best and sometimes the worst in them.
