Rating: ***( 3 Out of 5)

It’s the crackling chemistry between John Abraham and Akshay Kumar which makes Desi Boyz such a fun film. The guy bonding between them had already been showcased in Garam Masala but this film carries the camaraderie even further. True, the film doesn’t boast of anything that even comes close to an intelligent quotient, but the perfectly tuned tango, salsa, hip hop between the boyz gives it a spicy edge and keeps you in your seats.

Desi Boyz as the title suggests, revolves around two friends Jignesh a.k.a Jerry (Akshay) a security guard and Nick (John) a banker. Life is like a bed roses for desi boyz as Nick can afford a lavish living for them, which also, makes him a reliable life partner for fiancée Radhika (Deepika). But, hell breaks loose as recession hits and they lose their respective jobs. But, it’s more miserable for Jerry as he is unable to take the responsibility of his nephew (Veer), the son of is late sister and brother-in-law, who eventually goes to foster home. Post regressive job search and in order to bring Veer back in Jerry’s life desi boyz turn into male escorts. Now, how will Radhika react to Nick’s reality, will Veer come back to Jerry’s life and how will Chitrangada’s character Tanya spring up is the rest of the story.

Pritam’s music is full of verve and the title song, Desi Boyz, has already become a chartbuster. Well, Desi Boyz is surely a one-time watch movie.
