“Cocktail”: Watch it with a bunch of friends

The movie “Cocktail”, as the title itself suggests  is a colourful and entertaining mix of three refreshingly different characters played by Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan and Diana Penty.

There is a buzz on internet that the story of the movie revolves around the lives of three different characters, Gautam (Saif), Veronica (Deepika), Meera (Diana). Veronica and Diana, who are poles apart, in terms of character, stay under the same roof in London. Things changes when Gautam, who gets a dream job here moves in with them. The film beautifully defines enjoyable, entertaining and entangled friendships along with bitter turmoil’s that friends can go through.

Talking about the star cast – Deepika plays her part most convincingly. It’s Saif who is not convincing as a guy who can make any girl fall weak in her knees. He is just okay in the film. Diana makes a decent debut but seemed to be struggling in keeping up with the goody goody image that her character has in the film – As per the reports

The film takes a more serious turn in the second half when friendship makes way for love.

However Cocktail should be truly applauded for is its permissiveness. Watch it with a bunch of friends.
