London Dreams In real life, if you feel your colleague is far more superior to you in intelligence, talent, charisma, efficiency, chances are you might feel the heat. Jealousy, generally, stems from there. In the process, the best of relations get strained. London Dreams, directed by Vipul Shah & stars Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan & Asin.

The movie  talks of two musicians thick pals actually and how jealousy drives a wedge in their friendship. Before discussing the positive and negative factors of this film. London Dreams is not Baiju Bawra, Rock On!!, Abhimaan, Yaarana or Saajan. The truth is, London Dreams Milos Forman’s brilliant film Amadeus [1984], which was based on Salieri and Mozart’s life. In fact, Suneel Darshan too had made a film based on Amadeus called Shaka Laka Boom Boom [2007].

London Dreams is a complete departure from Vipul Shah’s earlier outings, Aankhen, Waqt, Namastey London [produced by Vipul, directed by Anees Bazmee]. This film is about relationships and tends to get very real and intense, in the post-interval portions specifically. The scale of London Dreams is gigantic and the execution of concerts [it's about a band] sweeps you off your feet.

London Dreams, one of the most awaited movie has hit the screens on Friday (October 30). Vipul Shah once again brought together the duo of Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan, the Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam fame. The movie was previously named as Rashque, when the lead roles were offered to Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan. But later, the name was changed to London Dreams and the roles were offered and accepted by Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan.

Both Salman and Devgan would be seen together playing the role of best friends. Ajay Devgan plays the role of Arjun and Salman plays the role of Mannu. Both reach London in the quest of fulfilling Arjun’s grandfather’s dream of getting on to the musical stage in London.

The story revolves around Arjun and Mannu. Arjun, an ambitious and trained musician reaches London where he sets up his own musical band with Priya (Asin Thottumkal) being the dancer for his group. Mannu on the other end, a gifted talent continues to live in India, singing and dancing in the local weddings. Arjun on one of his visits to India takes Mannu along with him to London. Mannu joins his group and becomes an instant hit and an overnight star and thus starts the story of hate, love, jealously and drama, where both the friends land into strange and demanding situations. Asin plays the role of a common love interest for both the friends.

Arjun has to choose between ambition and friendship. What he will be opting for? Will Asin choose Mannu over Arjun? Ajay Devgan has acted brilliantly displaying a wide range of emotions like love, anger, jealously and insecurity. Sallubhai’s fans won’t be disappointed either. Salman’s acting will surely be appreciated by one and all. The two VJs Rannvijay and Aditya fit perfectly in the role of the band members.Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has provided music to the movie and no song seems out of place.Overall, a must watch movie for all Devgan and Salman’s fans as the chemistry they share, is the highlight of the movie.
