RaavananThe film Raavanan directed by Manirathnam is all set to hit the screens on the 18th of this month. There are a lot of expectations from this film. Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Prithviraj, Karthi, Priyamani and Prabhu are starring in it.

Abhishek Bachchan is doing the lead role in the Hindi version. This film is also being released in Telugu. The songs of the film were released recently and are selling briskly. Manirathnam had planned to release this film at the IIFA, recently held in Sri Lanka, in order to capture the International markets.

Since the South Indian cinema federations objected to this, he did not screen it. It seems that the film Raavanan has been sold for a whooping price in the International market. Raavanan is to be screened in almost all the theatres of Tamil Nadu. This will overtake Rajni’s Sivaji screening. Only two Hollywood flicks will give competition to Raavanan. Jackie Chan’s Karate Kid is being released on 11th of this month. Another Hollywood film, Toys Story, is being released on the 18th as well. Producers of other films are postponing their films because of lack of theatres.
