Singh is Kinng was the much awaited comedy flick for this year and it has come with all right ingredients for making it a good box office grosser. With unlimited laughter dose, drama and emotions at the end, it does not bore you at all. As other Bollywood stars have said before, you need to leave your brains to enjoy the comedy movie, the same applies here.
It starts with Happy Singh (Akshay kumar) who tries helping everyone in his village, but ends up in nuisance. He is asked to leave the village and with him goes Rangeela (Om Puri) without any destination or destiny in mind. Lakhan Singh aka Lucky (Sonu Sood) is the King of the Australian underworld who is accompanied by his associates Javed Jaffrey, Neha Dhupia, Manoj Pahwa, Yashpal Sharma, Kamal Chopra and Sudhanshu Pandey.
Happy’s journey which starts from a small village in Punjab travels around Egypt to Australia and it is during this journey when he coincidently meets his lady love Sonia (Katrina Kaif). He also finds warmth and affection in an elderly lady (Kirron Kher) in his journey to become King. Must watch is Akki’s perfect comic timings and stunts. Look out for his famous giggling.
While the first half is quite entertaining, the second half is dragged and Aneez Bazmee failed to give a good climax to a great start. However, the overall movie is quite a good time pass. The music of the film is already a hit with Pritam delivering some good numbers like Bootni Ke, Jee Karda and Teri Ore. Even the title song of the film is very catchy. For Akki’s fans, they can expect another hit from this movie.
