It’s not often that you see a bollywood movie that stirs up your senses, it’s not often that bollywood comes with a 90 minutes package and it’s not often that you see twists and turn which so aptly fit into story line, that’s Wednesday for you

A bold step in Bollywood cinema sans jhatkas, exotic locales, mediocre comedy, glitzy marketing or senseless action. Kudos to the director-writer Neeraj Pandey who so skilfully takes the audience on a roller-coaster ride, getting the most out of the two main characters of the movie played by Naseerudin shah and Anupam Kher, the leading men are supported ably by Jimmy Shergill and Aamir Bashir.

Here are the excerpts from the review by some of the industry gurus..

Tarun Adarsh

‘..A WEDNESDAY is cinema at its best. It may not be a Kinng-sized entertainer to lure the audiences in hordes and set the box-office afire, but A WEDNESDAY does pack in king-sized punch. Do yourself a favour: Watch A WEDNESDAY..’

Indiatimes movies

‘A Wednesday isn’t one of those conventional potboiler categories where a hero goes fighting single-handedly against the villains or munificent cinematic liberties are attempted to accomplish an assignment. The minute specification incorporated in the script adds conviction to the trade-off that sets the film a class apart’

Kudos to Neeraj Pandey and his technical team for putting together a neat, cohesive and engrossing film about a subject that’s beginning to feature more than often in Bollywood movies.

Overall, ‘A Wednesday’ is a film powerful in character and soul, it delivers a strong social message as seen in movies like ‘Rang De Basanti’. But more importantly, it heralds a new direction for Bollywood movies, a brave effort by new-kids-on-the block directors (remember Aamir) who don’t shy from innovation and production houses like UTV motion pictures who support such innovating schemes.
