Yashraj films is pinning its hope on Rab Ne Bana di Jodi to be a grand success, after the recent production debacles (only 3 of the last 11 movies produced have been semi-hit or hit), Yashraj Chopra is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that the tried and tested love-story formula with Shahrukh Khan at the helm brings him the same level of success with Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge enjoyed Rab Ne Bana Di jodi. There is a sleeping buzz created about the movie with the storyline of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, which is set for a December release being kept a closely guarded secret; however it appears that story has now been leaked.

Rab Ne Bana Di jodi is a down-to-earth romantic movie about Shah Rukh Khan who is married to Anushka Sharma, there is a age difference between the two and they are not what one would call a perfect couple (remember Main,Meri Patni Aur Woh). They are merely carrying on the ritual of marriage that binds them together with no real romance as they are two very different people. Now here’s the twist, there’s reality dance show called Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi – which is the main backdrop of the movie, since reality shows are the in-thing these days on television, basing a story line around reality shows seems to be a brilliant commercial idea. Anushka wants to take part in the dance competition but she can’t because her husband (shahrukh) is old fashioned and not in tunes with the time, she fears that if she dances with him, she will lose the show and become the laughing stock among all her friends, who are taking part in the same.

Shah Rukh Khan overhears his wife’s concerns and decides to go in for a makeover. He then watches some movies and changes his image completely and comes back to the show and sweeps Anushka off her feet. All the way through the dance reality show she keeps falling in love with this new and improved Shah Rukh Khan, without once realising that the man she is dancing with is her real husband.

So, that’s the story in a nutshell, with Aditya Chopra as the director, Shahrukh playing character that he plays best and a total masala packed storyline, this movie has all the makings of a super-hit. Hope Yashraj strikes gold with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
