Raaz 2 Story (to set things into perspective)

Raaz 2 stories revolves around the psyche of the human mind. It tells the story of a successful model named Nandita (Kangana Ranaut), who falls in love with a sitcom director Yash (Adhyayan Suman). But Nandita’s life take a tragic turn when she meets an artist named Prithvi ( Emraan Hashmi), whome she begins to love. He then tells Nandita that all his paintings of her are getting discoloured, which means that her life is in danger. At first, she just laughs at his warnings. But when scary things begin to happen, she starts to believe. The film is much scarier than the original. The film deals with prevailing issues of the evil that lurks within us. It’s also about how superstitious we are.

Raaz 2 Movie review – www.ndtv.com

“The scares are tired and Mohit Suri (director) doesn’t know how to pace them out. So, every minute, something awful is happening, from a bull attack to mutilation and murder. Was I scared? Not once. This mystery was better left discontinued”

Raaz 2 Movie review – www.rediff.com (3.5/5 rating)

“Kangana puts in a great performance, one, I admit, I didn’t know she was capable of. Her scenes when she gets possessed, as well as when she walks the ramp, are brilliant”

“Emraan does complete justice to his character. Adhyayan comes across as a raw actor, who needs to work on his acting. But he compensates with a convincing act in the second half of the film”

Raaz 2 Movie review – www.timesofindia.com (3/5 rating)

“Horrifying? Certainly, in places, especially when an ATM turns nasty, a bunch of bisons turn murderous, Kangana gets transformed into an abusive man or has her wrists slit in the bath tub. The film however gets wrapped up in a clumsy climax, as most horror films do and does tend to drag in places. “

“Nevertheless, director Mohit Suri does manage to get his groove back a bit, after a series of insignificant films that followed the power-packed Kalyug. Watch it for the chemistry between the Gangster pair and for a couple of goosebumps, here and there”

Raaz 2 Movie review – www.bollywoodhungama.com (3.5/5 rating)

“On the whole, RAAZ – THE MYSTERY CONTINUES is rich in the horror quotient and that is one of its major USPs, besides the highly competent performances by its principal cast and a lilting musical score. At the box-office, this one will continue the winning streak of Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt’s Vishesh Films. The 4-day weekend [Monday, January 26 in a holiday] will only cement its status further. Go for it!”
