This is bad news for all Shah Rukh Khan fans in India. Ra.One, one of the most large-scale movies from the actor’s production house will reportedly hit theaters across the country on next year Diwali instead of the previously scheduled release of June.
A source close to the actor says that the reason behind pushing the release date four months back is because of the fact that the SFX effects to be shot as part of the sci-fi flick will take longer to film.
Keeping in mind the fact that Ra.One is the most ambitious project that Shah Rukh Khan has been a part of, the actor is putting all efforts to make the film a visual treat and it is for this that he will require more time, says the source. Even prior to its release, parallels are already being drawn between Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One and Rajinikanth’s Robot. The fact that SRK was the first choice of Shankar to play the robot is not unknown to us, and while things did not work out, Shah Rukh is trying his best to achieve the same through his production Ra.One.
With his hands full with Don 2 and Ra.One, action surely seems the mantra of the season for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh khan. And though the release date of magnum opus has been postponed, his loyal fans will wait to see their favorite star setting the ablaze next Diwali.
