Late actor Rajesh Khanna, Sharmila Tagore and Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid were elected for this year’s ‘Padma Bhushan’ India’s third highest civilian award.

Padma Awards are one of India’s highest civilian awards and are conferred in three categories – Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shree.

Actress Sridevi, actor Nana Patekar and director Ramesh Sippy received the Padma Shree, the fourth highest civilian award.
