dedanadanB-town’s most successful onscreen jodi Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif are back together in their forthcoming hilarious comedy flick “De Dhana Dhan”. The movie is directed by comedy specialist director Priyadarshan. De Dana Dhan will also star Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Neha Dhupia and Sameera Reddy.

The hot-selling pair of Akshay-Katrina has earlier given three consecutive hits in Namastey London, Welcome and Singh is Kinng. De Dhana Dhan will put to rest three rumors circulating in Bollywood. The first one: Akshay and Katrina will not be seen together on screen again after Welcome because Salman didn’t want Katrina to work with Akshay. Second, after Phir Hera Pheri Suniel Shetty will not team again with Akshay, as he thought the latter had chopped his role in the film. On the contrary, they were to team again in Singh is Kinng but when Suniel came to know his role was small, he left it and Sonu Sood replaced him. Third, there were rumors that Paresh Rawal and Priyadarshan would never work together again when Paresh left Billoo Barber seeing that his role was smaller than Irrfan Khan’s. Manoj Joshi replaced him.

De Dhana Dhan will go on the floors on 27 Nov 2009. This will be the sixth film for Akshay Kumar with Venus. It may be recalled that Akshay became an big star after starring in Venus’ films like Khiladi, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Keemat, Dhadkan and Garam Masala. Looks like he’s on his way to greater fame and glory, along with Katrina.

DE DANA DAN SYNOPSIS:

De Dana Dan is a story based on Nitin (Akshay Kumar) and Ram (Suniel Shetty) are only lucky in love – otherwise their life is a big zero as is their bank balance! But now their rich girlfriends – Anjali (Katrina Kaif) and Manpreet (Sameera Reddy) have given them an ultimatum – earn enough money so that we can elope or forget us forever.

Broke and desperate Nitin and Ram need to make big money and fast. They hit upon an audacious plan – to kidnap Moolchandji – the spoilt dog of rich bitch Archana (Archana Puran Singh). But Moolchandji runs away, and the police think it’s Nitin who’s been kidnapped. As the guys try to get their hands on the ransom money, they encounter assorted characters like a Chinese Don, a hired assassin, an ACB officer, a club dancer, an ambassador, a young frustrated wife, a letch, a drunken waiter and a dead body nobody wants….what happens next is De Dana Dan… full of so many twists and turns that you’ll turn giddy with laughter!
