I was waiting for my bus and had some school children talking about Orkut. One of them said hey I have more than 200 friends and over 4000 scraps. Others had same thing to say, some were counting how many communities they are member of and some how many friends they have. I am not a big Social Networking Fan and happen to visit Orkut and then I came to know how these numbers grow? Lots of messages are “Hey had your lunch”. Next message was “Are you online”? Oh, are you in bangalore and so on. I find Social Networking a dead end after some time. You register, you meet friends, thats good and then what? Probably need to find out how can these convert into spending useful time on internet rather than just hi, how are you stuff. What do you guys think?
