A R Rahman creates history. Rahman wins the globe award for best original score for Slumdog at 66th Golden Globe Award Ceremony held at LA. Slumdog also swept the award ceremony.  Danny Boyle, the director of Slumdog won the best director award. The film also won the best screenplay award.

Earlier Slumdog won five critics’ award at 14th annual Critics’ Choice awards.

The story of the film is about a slum boy who continues to win big money at a reality show – “Who wants to be a millionaire”.
