INDIA/Recently Abhinav Bindra’s father was arrested at his sprawling farmhouse in Punjab for alleged fraud of a hefty amount of Rs 90 Million from national and private banks.

Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police has arrested Mr A S Bindra and he will be produced in Delhi court this saturday. Senior Bindra took such a huge amount of loan to setup Punjab Meats Ltd plant at Derabassi town near here in Punjab. He allegedly failed to repay the loans and was booked in 2006 and 2007 at Delhi’s Connaught Place police station. His son Abhinav Bindra is India’s first Olympics individual gold medal winner August last year at the Beijing Olympics.
