MNS HOOLIGANISM ACT – North Indians attacked during Railway Examination

Activists of the Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena on Sunday (19 October 2008) attacked 13 Railway Board Examination Centers in suburban Mumbai protesting “inadequate representation” to locals and chased away candidates from north India.
About 10 MNS activists have been arrested from central suburban Dombivali and Kalyan so far for disrupting the exam and preventing candidates from appearing the examination, the police said.
“We have arrested 10 MNS activists so far from Dombivali and Kalyan under the charges of rioting at the examination centers,” Thane Commissioner of Police Anil Dhere told PTI.
“Attackers even tried to tear exam papers and hall tickets of some of the candidates at Nerul in Navi Mumbai,” Sharma said.
“Railway officers should understand the meaning of our protest and allow more Marathi candidates for the examination than the outsiders,” Shinde said. “MNS activists would meet railway officials soon”, he added.
Despite the disruption, the exam was conducted at total 82 centers in Mumbai with the help of local police, he added.
Railway Minister Lalu Prasad demanded a ban on the outfit, saying its chief Raj Thackeray was a ‘mental case‘.
“I strongly condemn the incident. There should be an inquiry into the attack. There should be strong action against that party…MNS should be banned,” the Minister told reporters.
MNS need to understand that we all are Indians and then Marathi or whatever state we belong to. We all have to work collectively not individually. This kind of revolt against is nothing but the stupid outlook of illiteracy because FREEDOM OF LIVING is one of the fundamental rights of all Indians and nobody can take that. We condemn it in the strongest terms
There are many more core issues that need to be taken care like terrorism poverty & population burst within the state, rather than concentrating on such petty issues. I urge all the readers to stop following such cases as we should not encourage such politicians who are against the good of country, in fact mankind!!!
India will continue to have such issues in future as it has double standards. Regionalism is gaining popularity in TN/AP/Maharashtra due to this. India intervened in Pakistan affair in 1971 for Bangladesh but acting opposite in the revised manner for Srilanka Tamil issue dismissing as an internal matter.
What’s happening in Maharashtra is nothing but result of regional imbalance that is showing up. It was always destined to happen this way with the state of affairs in our country.
We all fight for our local religion & rights but none of us see ourselves as INDIAN first. This is the need of the moment. In this hour where every Indian is on a spree to kill the fellow countrymen interest, has anyone ever thought of calling yourself with pride that I m an INDIAN & work collectively for betterment of the nation? Folks, rise above regionalism and see how this country can transform into one of the best, most advanced, countries in this world.

I was speaking 2 my British friend over a party and he said – Do you think you all would have managed even a good rail network had Britishers not been here? Sorry coming back to the main topic. MNS people – what have u done till now for betterment for MH. Today for your benefit u are making north indians and marathi people fight, tomorrow when that is done, you will say Pune people should not come to mumbai or thane local jobs will be limited to Thane people only! All rubbish, cheap, illterates and idiotic people are out and shame ruling us.
Amar Singh – Pro-Muslim only for vote bank. And is Muslim a minority now? There are more mosques than temples all around, every place you will find muslim and they are the ones growing like anything, why do they want any benefits?
India is in a state of Shit with these kind of dirty politics. The growth of India has purely been due to hard work by common man, who got outsoucred work to India. What if we didnt had any work from the WEST. How would we have survived without that? Coz Govt has not created any job opportunities for anyone.
Today i m in the mood of writing, so will write more.. Will MNS protests against lots of cheap chinese stuffs that are imported to India causing many industries to close? Did they ever made a noise abt that? From balloon to toys to garments to electronics, everything is coming from China, there by not only causing health hazards issue but also killing so many local industries. Where are the MNS people then?
Finally i think i spoke too much about too many things, but I was moved by what Ashok wrote – This independence has been a waste. We need to get India free from all these bloody politicans many of whom are criminals and have criminal cases against them.
Before I die, I will definitely shoot many of them to free India from someone of them. Then atleast people while remembering that bloody politican will remember me as well from cleaning India!
This bloody multi party system in India must be first banned. This is the cause for all the issues. Other countries are much advanced coz they have dual party system, which gives a healthy competition. Here any man who has money can enter Politics and play dirty and open his own party and stand for elections. It has become so cheap.
America let a poor person like Abraham Lincoln to become their president coz they had faith on him and indeed he led America to greater heights. India will never have the guts to do that., Even if a common man wishes to enter politics, he will also be made to play dirty and earn money for himself rather than doing something good for nation.
When are we going to feel proud of being INDIANS!!! India was known for “UNITY IN DIVERSITY” in Gandhigiri times. I sometimes feel the independence was utter waste. If Britishers were ruling India until now, I think it would have improved more… Atleast these Dirty politicians would not have been there to play with one’s lives…

whatever happened in maharastra is very bad, unfortunate and highly condemable. I am from Bihar and work in bangalore, does that mean tomorrow kannada people will thrash me out of Karnataka? I support local representations, but why not judge by merit than by region.
Mumbai is not just mumbai by local marathi manus, there is a good blend of people from different parts of the country to make Mumbai as the financial capital of India.
Gujratis and Marwaris play a major role in the share and the financial sector of the city.
Gujarati and Voras dominate the diamond business
Biharis contribute a major in the construction business.
Mumbai film industry is ruled by major North Indian People and some from South Indian People.
If you thrash all of them, Mumbai will no longer have the fame.
And violence is not an answer to the problem. Instead of beating the students who came for examination, did MNS people had guts to go to the railyway board and beat officials who did not advertise on Marathi paper? Do they have guts to protests against the government instead of innocent people?
Marathi People, i m not against some favoritism for locals, but these MNS people are just creating room for vote bank with no real sentiments. What have the party done for you apart from violence? Raj Thackeray was in municipality (as what i heard), has mumbai road, sewage any conbditions improved?
Wake up every Indian and not lets these parties divide and rule. Rtaj thackeray arrest is justified and also support for banning this party unless they restore to apology to all Indians (not just north or south or east or west)
