LakshmiBollywood director Ram Gopal Varma has approached Lakshmi Prasanna Manchu to play the lead role in his next film “Department”.

She graduated with Bachelors in Theater Oklahoma City University. She has acted in the American Television series Las Vegas and Desperate Housewives.

Initial reports suggested that Kangana Ranaut would play the female lead, but sources say that RGV has not yet finalized the casting.
