The rally organized by the father son duo of JD(S) party, Mr.Deve Gowda & Mr. Kumaraswamy made the whole Bangalore whine in distress.
The rally was held on Monday November 17th, a day when most of the people in Bangalore will be facing the Monday blues hangover banging on their heads . The state government allowed the JD(s) to held the rally despite of promising the high court earlier that they would not allow any more rallies inside the city campus. The rally was held well within the city near palace grounds (which when asked later they said it was supposed to be their lucky area).
Due to this rally, the whole of North Bangalore traffic came to an halt. Many home returning kids from school, patients who had to reach hospitals in emergency, men & women tired from their work returning home all were struck in the traffic and were helpless and whining in vain. As if the usual traffic mess in Bangalore was not enough that JD(S) had to arrange for an untimely rally which worsened the situations. School kids reached home at night. Who should be held responsible if one child had got effected in this rally due to heat, fatigue thirst and toilet unavailability?
Did the state government not think once before granting permission? Even if they had to give, they could have planned it properly and could have kept the rally on some outskirts that would not effect common people. Around Rs. 10 crores were spend on this rally. Who is going to reveal the source of this amount of money? The reason for this rally was for the sake of the villagers in rural areas. If this 10 crores were literally spent on those villagers, few thousand farmer’s plea’s would have been answered in a jiffy. But our ministers chose to held a rally which will never help the farmers in any way but the opposite it hampered a whole Monday for many people in the city.
When the father & son were asked to give some answers and explanations for such chaotic rally, they gave
such stern answers saying it was never their fault. Here are some of the conversation punch lines that they spoke before media.
1. They said they were inspired by Obama as how he campaigned through rallies and won the election.
Obama had his accounts clear for each and every cent spent on his campaigns and he had openly told all the US people that “They have not funded my candidacy, and they will not run my White House,”. We wonder if our JD(S) party have such heavy punch transparent lines to say?
2. One of the media guy had asked Kumaraswamy about the origin of whopping 10 crores that were spent on the rally at the time when the party is not ruling?
Spat came the reply: “Various party workers who are well settled and helping the leaders to build the party at various levels, have organized according to their capacity. It was entirely a party workers arrangement.”.
How we wish even we could be in politics. We would have been atleast rich enough to fund rallies in the town!!!
3. Kumaraswamy blamed the government (yes, the same government that agreed for this rally) that they were not planned and organized.
Well, if our JD(s) party could spend 10 crores for oragnising the rally, may be government thought this 10 crores included the planning also.
4. When the media asked about the father son’s reaction when all the big corporates blamed the party for such unplanned rally:
“If a day’s inconvenience has annoyed these people so much, then I request them to visit our villages one day and understand the plight of villagers. Village people have been battling so many problems and none have opened their eyes to those problems. But a day’s inconvenience to city people has become so important for everybody.”
City people are not aware of the problems in village. So why don’t our father son duo plan for a stay at village and know their problems? In this way they will be able to understand and solve their problems better. We also wonder what developments they did for the villagers when they were ruling the state?
5. Kumarasmamy blamed the IT sector and said “People who give these comments never turn out to vote during elections and what right do they have to comment. In fact they are the real reason behind the pathetic situation of of the country,”.
The IT sector comprises the 10% of the total Bangalore population. Whereas the people effected in this rally were common office going workers, kids, patients, women etc..
6. On asking why on Monday and why Bangalore was chosen for the rally?
“We tried our best to find out places in the outskirts of the city. We saw a few places near Devanahalli but they were not convenient enough to hold a massive rally and so we finalised on Palace Grounds. Monday was chosen because it is the day when farmers do not work in fields as they usually plan to attend the weekly trade fair.”
If villagers are free on Monday, then the rally also should have been in a village on Monday so that the villagers would have felt happy seeing that something is happening for them? Though we afraid the results would have heaped nothing but more rallies and more chaos…
We finally leave our poor Janta to drop in their comments and raise a voice against such untimely rallies that creates commotion for a whole city.
