In pictures – India in the year 2008. 2008 will go down as a year in India’s history when it one its first ever solo Olympic gold medal. It will also go down as an year where bomb blasts and terror strikes became common. The stock market and the housing market crashed and inflation soared, this year also saw the launch of India’s misson to the moon. All-in-all 2008 was an eventful year for India with its up and down. 2009 brings with hopes of joy and opportunities, as we take this stride forward, lets reflect back on the year that went past us in pictures and read our take on the story.
