As the metropolis recovers from the last week’s stunning terror attacks, hundreds of people, including children and senior citizens, gathered at Gateway of India in Mumbai to mourn the death of victims and martyrs and demand security for the common man.

Anger spilled against public representatives in protests and march held near the Gateway of India, where people assembled in show of solidarity.

All roads led to the historic structure near Taj Hotel, one of the sites of the November 26 strikes that left 183 dead, as people took part in protests and peace march.

They questioned the ability of politicians, especially those in power, in effectively dealing with terror threats.

Amid slogans against politicians and Pakistan, the citizens, holding placards, lit candles and paid tribute to victims and martyrs who lost their lives fighting terrorists.

Signature campaigns were also held to denounce terror and promote peace.

“Security is essential for common people who are paying taxes. Personnel deployed to protect politicians who cannot save people and the country should be withdrawn immediately.
