Last week Bharat Mata was hit again; in a well-planned and co-ordinated attack on innocent citizens and the society, simultaneous attacks were carried out in multiple states killing scores of people and injuring hundreds. This looks like the same story being repeated year-on-year making our political and law-enforcing machinery appear like a bunch of spectators watching on the sidelines.

The lives of our citizen appears now to be at the mercy of these so-called ‘mujahideens’ who like a venomous cobra has slinked up our society and is threatening the peace and sovereignty of our country.

Why cant our police/intelligence agency get a clue about the notorious activities of these terrorists, are we missing something here? If we look at US, there has not been a single terrorist attack since 9/11, the reason for this is the formation of stronger anti-terror policies and setting up of bodies with special power to counteract the menace of terrorism. Our honourable prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh proposed the idea of a federal agency something on the lines of FBI with special powers to deal with terrorism. Its mooted that the agency’s authority will transcend state boundaries and political naivety and will help speed up gathering intelligence information and subsequent action.
