Yes finally it is turn of Sports other than cricket to steal the limelight & this time it was none other than Beijing Boxing Bronze Medallist Vijendra Kumar to do the proceedings by walking the ramp at the HDIL India Couture Week, Mumbai.

“I am neither interested in acting nor I am looking for films now. Boxing is my priority. It’s for boxing that I am here today, getting all the name and fame.  So boxing will always be my first choice, everything comes later,” he said.

“If cricketers can do it, why can’t I,” he quipped.

Boxing is a game of the middle class. It is not that expensive, so I would like young people to take up the game so that we can bring laurels to the country.”

India’s boxing sensation Vijendra Singh promoting boxing by walking the ramp is a platform to raise boxing profile in the country or just to grab attention from prospective advertisement & media attentions… only time will tell.

With the 2010 Commonwealth Games here in New Delhi and the 2012 London Olympics around the corner he need to focus more on the upcoming championship & not carried away by the glory & success achieved.

“I have started training but the World Cup is still a couple of months away, so let’s see,” he said.

Well don’t be complacent & start working harder as you have a long way to go.

One Last Thing, finally we will be able to see Non-Cricketers hogging the Limelight. Watch Vijender Kumar spark the ramp
