Mohammad Ayazuddin, the son of former Indian cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin, died on Friday, five days after being critically injured in a road accident.

On Monday (September 12), doctors at Apollo hospital reportedly removed one of Ayazuddin’s kidneys. And neurological tests, conducted on September 15, showed severe brain damage.

Ayazuddin battled for life and remained on ventilator support after he sustained critical injuries.

Ayazudding (19) was riding a Suzuki GSX-R1000 sports bike, with his cousin Ajmal (16) on pillion, on the outer ring road of the city (where riding two-wheelers is banned) at a very high speed when he lost control and crashed near the tollgate at Poppalguda.
