paulami-hanging-stuntNine-year old Chandan Singh never thought imitating his favorite show stunt can cost his life and this is what exactly happened on Saturday 18th April 2009. Chandan, who was a great fan of MTV Roadies and has not missed a single episode of Season 6, tried to replicate an act shown on show and accidentally hanged himself, the stunt, which proved costly.

The Stunt goes like this – MTV Roadies bottom three were fighting for the place in the final. While Nauman, one of the finalist won the challenging task went through the semi-finals, the two girls Palak and Paulami were to fight for the final berth. Both the girls were made to stand on the wooden stool and their hand tied. They had a rope around their neck. Nauman was to save one of the girl within thre minutes. At the end of the episode, Paulami’s wooden stool fell off and she was almost hanged. Of course all this stunt was done under experts guidance.

As per Chandan’s uncle, Chandan got excited seeing the thrill and wanted to imitate the act soon after his friends left. But the act proved to be fatal and he was found hanging from the ceiling fan.

This is not first of the incidents when teenagers get excited by the stunts shown on television and tried to in act the same. However, there is little done towards the censorship or show timings, which can avoid teenagers getting access to such shows.
