Monica BediDisgraced Bollywood star Monika Bedi was detained by police here on Monday as she got down from helicopter in order to campaign for Pappu Yadav, an independent candidate from Banka assembly seat.

Authorities had permitted the two to land in their helicopter for an election meeting only between 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM , but they arrived at 1:20 PM, officials said.

Bedi,whose has never been known for political leanings, came here to campaign for Yadav. This Pappu Yadav has nothing to do with Pappu Yadav who is in jail in connection with murder of CPI MLA Ajit Sarkar..
