Cricketer Harbhajan Singh has served a legal notice on Vijay Mallya’s UB Spirits over a commercial for McDowell’s No. 1 Platinum featuring M. S Dhoni.

The McDowell’s No. 1 Platinum commercial shows Dhoni ridiculing Harbhajan’s role in a commercial for rival Pernod Ricard’s Royal Stag.

While both cricketers are busy touring in England, Bhajji’s mother has sent a legal notice to Vijay Mallya of UB Spirits asking the ‘king of good times’ to stop the TV commercial showing MSD “mocking” her ‘puttar’.

Mr Mallya said that the controversial ad was not aimed at making fun of Harbhajan Singh and it was just a spoof between two competing brands. Also he refused to remove the ad.
