Madhuri made her debut with this marriage drama which told the tale of a girl who is clueless about marriage and *ahem* sex. Rajshri Productions thankfully made the film sensibly and made sure that it didn’t slide into the soft porn category. Madhuri must have been just 16 when the filming started and looked the part. She was a natural in front of the camera and showed flashes of her acting genius in her first film itself. The film bombed at the box office but Madhuri created enough of a buzz and hence the offers didn’t dry up.
