The American Theatre Wing’s 64th annual Tony Awards have privileged Hollywood actors Catherine Zeta-Jones, Scarlett Johansson and Denzel Washington with top honors.
Many well-known theater actors attended the grand event, which is also known as the Antoinette Perry Awards for Excellence in Theatre.
Scarlett Johansson was honored for best featured performance in Arthur Miller’s A View From a Bridge. While receiving the award, Scarlett said, “I wanted to be on Broadway since I was a little girl and here I am now.”
Zeta-Jones won the honorable award for best actress in a musical, where she acted as the passionate actress in the revival of ‘A Little Night Music’.
Washington and his co-star of Fences, Viola Davis received the award for best actors in a play. Again, the award for the best revival of a play went to August Wilson’s personal drama about family.
