An entertainment industry insider told press, “From the beginning, ‘X Factor’ executives encouraged Nicole and Steve to build their chemistry and get to know each other better over drinks.”

Despite the rumors, Scherzinger’s rep insists that there’s nothing going on, romantically. “Nicole is not dating Steve.”
