sarahActor Sarah Jessica Parker was surprised while shooting for the Sex and the City sequel in Morocco as none of the locals recognized her or anyone else from the cast.

The film, which was originally planned to be shot in Abu Dhabi, was later shot in Morocco after producers failed to get filming permission from Dubai officials.

The four leading ladies shot their scenes in Morocco, which is shown as Abu Dhabi in the film. Though, Parker said that it was like a blessing in disguise as the shoot went uninterrupted and production was completely undisturbed in Africa. Evidently, the locals had no interest in them and it was a virtue because it allowed them to tell their story in an open environment and capture everything that they wanted on screen.

She told the media in an interview that they were shooting in a country that had no interest in them and kept to themselves. She added that they in the middle of their lives, jobs and work, so tried to disturb them as less as possible.

Sex and the City 2, one of the most awaited films of this year is releasing on 28th of this month. The budget for this film was USD $95 million which is exactly $30 million greater than the budget for the first film.
