Russell Brand has filed for divorce from singer Katy Perry.

Russell Brand announced that the couple’s 14-month marriage was over after they spent Christmas apart and were both photographed without their wedding rings.

Brand’s lawyers filed divorce papers at Los Angeles Superior Court citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ between the pair.

Perry, 27, and Brand were married Oct. 23, 2010 in India after a whirlwind romance. They have no kids.
