The new Hollywood Movie “Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant” directed by Paul Weitz is an adaptation of “The Saga of Darren Shan”, a very popular book series by Darren Shan. The movie stars hot and sexy Salma Hayek in quite a different role.

The movie “Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant” releases this Friday 23rd Oct 2009. The movie could not combine all twelve books and hence the technical team taken the first three and used that as the story.

The Vampire’s Assistant is the second novel in The Saga of Darren Shan by Darren Shan. It is part of the Vampire Blood trilogy, which comprises the three books Cirque Du Freak: A Living Nightmare, The Vampire’s Assistant and Tunnels of Blood. The Vampire’s Assistant was first published in Great Britain by Collins in 2000, and was later published in the Vampire Blood trilogy in 2003.
