Actor Brad Pitt fell and injured his knee while carrying daughter Vivienne and is now walking with the help of a cane.

The 48-year-old star walked the red carpet at the 23nd annual Palm Springs Film Festival awards gala with the cane and told reporters he has an injured a ligament in the knee.

“I was carrying my daughter (Vivienne) down the hill and I slipped,” people.com quoted Pitt as saying.

His partner Angelina Jolie added, Vivienne, three-and-half years old, wasn’t hurt in the tumble. “Vivie’s okay. She was absolutely fine.”

Although Pitt wouldn’t need surgery, he may need the cane for a while. However, Jolie seems quite fine with it.

“I like the cane,” said Jolie, adding that the injury hasn’t slowed him down much at all. “He’s not that kind of guy. He does everything still.”
